About
NATE

My name is Nate Salazar, and I am running to be your next County Councilmember. I am running because I believe in building a County Council that reflects our community and listens to all residents, especially those who have historically been left out of decision-making.

Salt Lake County and the Wasatch Mountains have always been the backdrop of my life and the place I long for when I am away. As a fourth-generation Salt Laker, my family has called this community home for over a hundred years. The truth is, I was not the kid anyone expected to go into public service.

I graduated from the very school district I now have the honor of leading as School Board President. I have always run for office to give back to the community and the schools that gave me a second chance, and running for County Council is the next step in that service.

Whether working in a school, a library, or City Hall, I have spent my career in places where policy meets real life and where listening matters as much as leadership.
